| I suppose I ought to be afraid. I mean, last time a tree grabbed me it was Old Man Willow, and I was scared enough that time, even though I didn’t have it as bad as Merry did. I was just inside and scared, not being pinched in two. Come to think of it, Merry should even be more scared than I am, but there’s something about Treebeard that feels good, for all that he’s not sure whether we’re Orcs. We didn’t meet anything like him in the Old Forest. Or did we? I wonder if he knows Tom Bombadil? danachan wanted Pippin | |

| Sam’s hands are always busy, twitching Frodo’s regalia straight, or fixing his tea properly, or providing a thousand other small comforts through the day. They are seldom still unless Frodo catches them, as he does now, to tell Sam that he, too, must take some comfort. Not even the loss of a finger impairs their understanding, so long have these two spoken to each other with hands as well as words. It is a language as secret as Khuzdûl, a grasp passing secrets here, a touch blessing cheek or shoulder there. But I think that Legolas may know a dialect. cara_chapel wanted F/S | |

| Obviously, I need a good hard kick in the writing gear. I'll make no promises, but if you're willing to try tickling my muse, I'll see what I can do. | |

| Every person on your f-list gets to request a drabble (real drabble: 100 words exactly) from you. In return, they have to post this in their journal and write a drabble for you. Post all fandoms you're willing to write for. Your friends can pick a relationship, a story arc, a missing scene, or pretty much anything they want, unless the author has previously mentioned that they will not write it. They comment with what they want, and you write drabbles and post it in your LiveJournal.
Lord of the Rings, mostly, although I'll attempt old TV shows, Harry Potter, Discworld, etc. I'm lousy at romance, and can't write smut.
If you posted this and I haven't asked for a drabble from you, let me know and I'll scatter my recalcitrant bunnies around. | |

| *sigh*
It's Sam's birthday, and I have to be at work instead of home writing fic... And if I were home I'd probably be taking a really long nap anyway.
So make my day better and if you can think of a drabble, or even a half drabble! about Sam, post it, or stick it in the comments.

| I need to kick start my writing muse. Any drabblish requests? | |

| lilybaggins wanted a drabble with Frodo and Aragorn in Minas Tirith -- and I'm hoping I understood her right and she meant one to follow my story "Awake"! which is movieverse... Invalid Meal“I think I ate too much,” Frodo said mournfully, as he emerged from the screened corner of the sickroom for the third time and made his unsteady way towards his bed. Aragorn tucked Sam’s blanket in and went to help Frodo settle back against his pillows. “Too much, and too rich,“ he agreed. “Although I think you can lay some of the blame on your cousins. I did not realize how much they had ‘borrowed’ from the kitchens. Clear soups and fresh bread, I told them.” But Frodo only grinned, already half-asleep. “It tasted wonderful. All that lovely clotted cream.” | |

| A lot of my flist have offered ficlets and drabbles for the holidays, and seeing that's what I specialize in, I thought I should get on board too, with the caveat that it might take me longer than a month and a half to coax the bunnies you offer into decent shape. And I'll be honest, some bunnies just don't bite...
What I write best are gapfillers, or p.o.v. drabbles looking at events from the story from a different point of view. I've never successfully managed smut, of any persuasion, beyond about PG13.
So if you'd like a drabble from me (or a ficlet if it won't cooperate as a drabble) let me know.
